Katja Pfennig is Head of Franchise and Head of Partner Systems at Studienkreis GmbH, which is part of the Austrian GoStudent Group. Since October 2024, she and her team have been responsible for the development and expansion of the franchise partner network at around 200 locations in Germany and play a central role in the digital transformation of Studienkreis, a traditional medium-sized company, into a leading player in the EdTech sector.
Prior to this, she spent several years in management positions at IWG plc, the world's leading provider of shared offices and hybrid workspaces. Her work there focused on strategic expansion, partner management and process optimisation in Central and Eastern Europe.
She gained valuable international experience as Regional Manager Franchise for the Middle East, North Africa and Central and Eastern Europe markets at beeline GmbH. She also has extensive expertise in key account management, business development and project management, including at the world's largest online marketplace eBay and the European market leader for the commercial trade in used cars, BCA Autoauktionen.
Katja Pfennig holds a Master's degree in Cultural Studies and History from the University of Leipzig and is a certified project manager (PMP) from the American Project Management Institute (PMI).
