Expertise / Expert knowledge
Sven Romberg has spent his professional life to date in the field of financing and franchising. At Commerzbank in Munich, he looked after McD franchise partners who later went on to succeed with Vapiano, Losteria and The Ash.
He learnt about the active side of franchising as one of the first franchise partners of Subway in Germany from 2002. During this time, he also founded a leasing company specialising in the ‘financing of franchise systems’, of which he was a board member. The analyses/due diligences carried out there to evaluate the financial viability of various franchise systems gave Mr Romberg an extensive insight into the critical success factors of franchise systems.
Today, Mr Romberg is Head of Franchise in the craft sector at the MHK Group in Dreieich. One of the leading industry platforms for kitchen and living/crafts in Europe with well over 9 billion euros in external sales.
